Solving Equations Assignment #1

Hello Scorpions!!!!! We are about to start our last week of remote learning. I want to thank all the students that were working very hard to complete their assignments. This week we will be reviewing solving and creating equations. Please make sure to watch the videos to review before completing the assignments. Also use your notes and remember you can try several times to meet the required goal.
 
Objective: "Today, I will solve multistep equations by applying inverse operation.” 
 

Success Criteria:  

  • Identify the variable 
  • Add or subtract to isolate the variable 
  • Multiply or divide to solve for the variable 
  • Check your solution  

Directions: 

  • Please read the notes from the pictures and watch the videos 
  • Take notes and use them to complete the assignment from quizziz

Objective: "Today, I will solve real life word problems by creating and solving algebraic equations”. 
 

Success Criteria: 

  • Read the problem and identify keywords and important information 
  • Create an equation using the identified info 
  • Solve the equation by using inverse operation 

Directions: 

  • Watch the videos and take notes 
  • Review the pictures and take notes as well
